I have the Osprey Book the Polish Navy 1918-1945
and it would appear they used a medium gray for a hull paint. For Identification the first letter
of the ships name is painted on the bow on both sides in white with black shading. HTH that helps.

Just wondering what you guys use to paint ships from these fleets? I'm guessing Free Frnch & post 1939 Polish ships would have eventually used RN & USN stocks but what the 1939 colours? I assume that the Soviets had their own distinct colours, but what comes close?
I'm asking because up here in the Great White North we can't easily get our hands on WEM paints...
