It’s that I have a few friends on here, I just wanted to let them know why they hadn’t heard from me lately. The facility I was residing at is a frakking joke. No one there caught me signs that I was becoming anemic. On the day I went to the hospital, I literally asked to be sent to the hospital, I pleaded to be sent and was ignored … it took my girlfriend, Maggie Lynn’s calling them all 9:00 that night to get them moving. Just as a FYI, don’t get t on her bad side, she will rip you apart. I wonder what she said to them…

When I got to the hospital, the doctor in the ER told me that my blood and hemoglobin levels were so low that my heart was going to stop if they didn’t give me a transfusion right away. But they did that, they did a CAT scan. They detected a hernia, and through some other tests, they determined that I have an ulcer which they suspect led to my becoming anemic … They ended giving me three units of blood that night.

While I was in the hospital, I contacted the state’s Ombudsman for long term care facilities and told her what happened and said that I didn’t want to go back to that facility. She worked closely with the hospital (actually telling them to do iit) to have me transferred to this facility. I have also filed a complaint against the facility.

This new place seems to be a little better and more efficient than the previous one. But I am wstill working with the the state to find me housing (which they will pay for). They have already got me a brand new wheelchair.

But I will tell you,.. that week in the hospital has changed my outlook on life.

You know? This is the second time in three years that Maggie Lynn has literally saved my life.
