1/700: Doggy Industries, Hellenic Ship Model, and Delphis

Fortunately, in 1/700, there are already kits of these very interesting ships:

Amiral Ronarc'h class (FDI/Belharra): Doggy Industries, also announced by Hellenic Ship Model (also announced in 1/350)

Thaon di Revel class (PPA): Delphis (here a review in German)

I do not think that these bow shapes are in any way related to the shape of 19th century ram bows. These are wave piercers, which are designed to make the ship more stable in heavy waves and reduce fuel consumption. In case of the PPA, the shape is really special, because there is a more conventional looking bow above it.
