Those are the best possible steps, short of buying a turntable and a UV cure lamp around 400nm. Don't let the sun warp your resin (no car dashboards or rear window ledges! - yes, I had a customer do this then complain) Previous Message
All:
Just took delivery of a 1/700 3D printed resin kit, and the hull resin is slightly soft/tacky (while the underside of the base the hull is printed on is hard, glossy, and smooth). I assume the 3D resin forming the hull is not completely cured. How do I prep it for construction/painting? Do I soak it in 90% isopropyl alcohol for a few minutes, then remove it and leave it in the sun for a few hours to enable the UV to cure the resin?
Please advise.
Thanks!
Mike E.
