Remember a few years ago, either here or the other site was a post that basically said paint over the adhesive with a clear coating and let cure, then used white glue to attach with clamps and let cure, obviously wiping away excess. The idea was that you would be able to move the deck around to fit in place reducing misalignment and possible damage to the deck if trying to pull up.
