Almost all what you wrote is wrong - see my last posting. The treaty was signed in Berlin. Perhaps you had misunderstood the sign?
There were no Roman gates, because Munich was founded in the 12th century, long after the collapse of the Roman Empire. The gates from that the time are long gone, only remain of three (!) gates of the 14th century remains. Only one of those was destroyed in the early 19th century.
The re-naming of streets and squares after 1945 is anyway in line with the re-naming of ships with names related to the Confederacy. Names, which honour the enemies of democracy were removed.
The justify the bombing of civilian targets as collective punishment is in line with the logic of the Nazis. They regularly made such actions. By the bombardment both Nazis and those against them were hit.
