This garbage is getting old I mean you can pick anything out of the fleet or the military and find some sort of connection to something that someone doesn’t like. Take a look at USS George Washington, Washington had slaves. Lincoln wasn’t sure that the former slaves should live in this country you could look at ships with city names there’s Jackson ,Charleston ,Key West ships with state names like Virginia, South Carolina, Mississippi, North Carolina. They all were southern states confederate states that had slaves. But I have a solution we can rename every ship in the fleet so it’s not offend anyone. From now on aircraft carriers will be known as USS A1 CVN 68 and of course the USS A2 CVN 69 cruisers would be USS C1 CG 52 we can do destroyers USS D1 DDG 51 so on, and so forth. Same with thoughts, military installations, air bases. This should make everyone who’s unhappy with the names happy. I mean that way it makes everything neutral and everyone is so happy you know I can understand the pain of slavery and the Civil War, but those people still were Americans and the places in the things that ships are named for its still American territory.
