what do you mean by "overhang"?

I am the proud possessor of two bolts (tap rivets, actually) that came from Battery Arizona, thus from Turret Four of USS ARIZONA. I am trying to locate just where they were used,(I suspect they secured armor plating for the 'overhang') but cannot locate detailed enough drawings of said turret(s). Detailed drawings of turrets from any BB-34 - BB-38 classes would probably help. Any assistance is appreciated.
