I am with you on that Charlie, even in 1/350th they look awful, panel lines are too heavy, undercarriage is too chunky and fragile.

Prime them grey and start cleaning them up. It is a stupid idea to make them clear. If they are Trumpeter a/c they will have seam lines and shrinkage. Quite frankly Trumpeter a/c are garbage. Find a nice contrasting color for the windows
