I always thought it a bit odd that the Germans found generals for their ships' names. Previous Message
Civil War naval battles yes as in Mobile Bay or Hampton Roads.Land battles did not make sense.
Revolutionary War land battles I understand.
Well, I think CVNs should use famous WW2 CVs only. Not presidents or other politicos.
