Seemed an odd name for a US naval vessel.

Civil War naval battles yes as in Mobile Bay or Hampton Roads.Land battles did not make sense.

Revolutionary War land battles I understand.

Well, I think CVNs should use famous WW2 CVs only. Not presidents or other politicos.
