Good points? Overall rare subject on a somewhat fair production run. General overall lay out (General!) is correct. Competent try by Monogram on making a post WWII ship.
Bad points? DASH hangar for the Seasprite. Not so good measurements. Dreadful lumps of plastic for the radar systems.
At least the AN/SPS-10 and AN/SPG-51 need work. The helicopter blades scale out to be 6" slabs of plastic in thickness. I'll use left over photo etch brass for that. The LAMP SH-2 Seasprite hangar is just a simple box, easy fix to the ship.
Now, 1/350 ship railing is about 88% of 1/310 scale. 88% is a B+. B+ grades go well with an overall average of C. If the ship shows up at an IPMS show I'll give free clothes pins so the judges will not have to hold their nose.
If you think I'm walking into it with Brooke then after that it's an upgrade of the gawd awful 1/3XX scale Forrest Sherman into an acceptable USS Edson. At least "Atlantis" gave decals for that ship.
