I try to build carefully to avoid putty. It did not work for me with this kit or the Saratoga. There is a some amount of putty on the port and starboard sides to create the smooth blending of the real ship. I cut off all the nets so I can use the GMM set. That makes it even more apparent. I needed to putty the far forward light AA mounts and parts B24 and B26 too. They are currently resting in their boxes.

I do not find Trumpeter kits to be all that great when it comes to fit.
