Thanks Simon, I have explored a few sites dealing with the RAN and Sydney specifically but had not known about the SLV and it has a lot of good detail photos that I can use as refs that I've not seen elsewhere.

Off subject it also has a lot of other interesting stuff as well. Thanks again.

Hi James,

The State Library of Victoria has an extensive online collection of photos, with many of HMAS Sydney in 1951. Here are two links to some images - many more are available if you search their site. These can be downloaded as standard size or in a very large TIFF format - these are quite detailed and very useful for confirmation of what was where!
