Agree.
I had a quick glance at some Jane's and modifications for Edinburgh seems to be:
1990 - modification to Edinburgh undertaken (eg - photo in 1991 Janes showing an Oct 1990 photo with bow visor and focsle-mounted Phalanx).
1994 - by 1994, but probably late 1993, the Edinburgh weapons fit was returned to class standard, but the modified bow (bow visor and breakwaters) was retained.
Jane's mentions the proposed project was for all T42 Batch 3 ships to receive SeaWolf (in lieu of Phalanx), with a single CIWS moved forward - but that it was cancelled very soon after Edinburgh's interim modification.
I imagine no SeaWolf was ever installed, but it does open up a number of options for 'what-if' modellers, particularly with the 1:700 3D print accessories now available to replace oversize weapons in the various kits.
