For those not aware of this British naval historiographer, might I suggest watching his naval history videos on YouTube.
I chose what I think is one of his best offerings, on the St. Nazaire raid; his Operation Rheinubung is excellent as well.
The guy is virtually a walking naval encyclopedia and seems a genuinely good guy with a good sense of humor as well- not so dry....
