I have never seen any photographs of the 60' test boat that was built. War generates some of the dumbest ideas and the iceberg aircraft carrier was certainly one of the them. Fortunately, the project was canceled quickly so it did not end up consuming great resources.
Fortunately, the Germans were much more enamored with crazy ideas. The ME-163 got into production. Dora got built. The MAUS and similar were being tested until the end.
Meanwhile truly innovative (as opposed to crazy) projects arrived too late to make a difference, such as the Me-262 and the Type XXI.
