Btw, if you pick up a Vimy I would suggest sticking with a Frog boxed kit (or the Air Lines reboxings) since other releases may have excessive flash from later mold shots (after FROG bellied up). There's a good looking one for sale right now...cost you about 30 clams.
Original Frog shots are generally quite good...I have seen some short shots from late in their runs but, generally, the shot quality is good.
Not so much of the stuff out of Eastern Europe, Novo, et al., is of the same quality. There are some boxings of various Frog molds--I'm thinking of Exeter, for one--where the flash could be measured in acres...often thick flash too.
Just a consideration or two about a pretty nice kit, Frog's Vimy. It's basic--you've got to work with it--and closer to Aurora's WW I stuff than Wingnut Wings but there's nothing like going through the olde stuff and honing skills.
