Has anyone ever tried using very small-celled spongy packing foam to mask complex surfaces for painting? For instance, using a razor straight-edged piece of foam over a complex hull form with bulges, hull plating, rub strakes, etc. I suspect it might be easier than using masking tape.
Please advise.
