In November 1941, direction was issued to paint the decks of several Pacific Fleet units, including two battleships. USS NEVADA and USS TENNESSEE were selected and painted prior to the attack.

Did these ships have naked wood decks or were they stained darker ? Especially Nevada and Oklahoma.
