USS Halibut (SSGN 587) for the 2002 Halibut Crew Reunion. I used the resin Pit Road/Seawolf Torpedo 1/350 kit of Halibut. This was a decade before Blue Ridge brought out their Halibut kits, which had parts for both versions.

The SSGN Regulus missile version was OOB, the later Special Projects version that tapped Soviet undersea cables required a build up of the sail (which was raised) and scratch building the saturation diving chamber on her stern deck and ROV “Fish” deployment tube.

The reunion was in San Diego, and I gave one of the local crew members the models, carefully packed, for transport from the east coast. The models were on display there and then raffled off to raise funds for the next reunion.
