Back in 2006 I was asked by a talented 11 year girl from my kid modelbuilding club to get a North American T6 training aircraft kit.
She wanted to build it after the very T6 her grand father had flown when in the French Air Force in Meknčs, Morocco in the 50's. She supplied me with a picture of the real plane which was great to custom design the markings.
I got a Academy 1:72 kit. She assembled the model and I did the painting and marking.
When almost done she confessed the build was rather urgent as she wanted to offer it to her grand'pa who was in hospital, dying from cancer.
We both hurried and she was able to offer the finished build: that was a great moment, as her mother later told me.
One month later her grand father died and she asked and was allowed to put the little T6 in the coffin...
