Yes. A photo taken in the naval base at Bermuda during her workup shows her in overall grey, with Swordfish, Fulmar and Skua aircraft embarked.

When Illustrious was first commissioned she was painted in overall grey. My question is did she receive her airwing before the camouflage scheme was applied. I am asking because l would like to build the model before the camo was applied and need to know if it would be appropriate to have the planes on deck.
