Hi Bruce,
It can't be too "unwanted", at least among collectors, as it still seems to fetch a pretty penny on ebay. If you sell it there, you could put the proceeds towards the newer, updated kit. May be something to consider, if you haven't already.

Since I am an owner of the now unwanted 1/200 scale Nichimo Yamato I thought that it might be a good idea to get the Fujimi Yamato bridge,central structure and photo-etch sheets for more detail. Would this not be a better idea than buying this new Gallery Yamato and getting stuck with the old kit? Your thoughts on this subject.
