R/C Country has a pretty good selection of plastic ships. about 8 to 10 feet of shelf space. Good selection of paint, Mission Models, Tamiya, Vallejo, along with tools and such. Worth a visit.
Viking Hobby in Carmichael is a small place with a few model ships and some paint. It does carry some reference material.
Hobbies Unlimited in San Leandro has a bigger selection of ship models, including more 1/200 than I have seen elsewhere. They carry Tamiya paints, possibly others.
I don't remember any hobby shops in South San Francisco, and I worked there for many years. There was Fransican Hobbies on Ocean Street, but it closed a long time ago.
Looking for 1/350 plastic USN ships and paint
You are looking for RC Country Hobbies they have moved further up HWY 80 off Bradshaw to 9500 Micron Ave Sacramento, CA 95827. Still the only shop in town with a selection of various modeling interests.
I can't find either of the 2 stores I used to go to and need a little help.
I can't find a hobby store in East Sacramento. It wasn't too far from the old AFB. North of I-80, I seem to remember crossing RR tracks just off the fly and think it might of been on 52nd st though I could be wrong.
The other was in south San Francisco on the N/W corner of a 4 lane Blvd and a residential st.
Both shops were larger than the average hobby stores.
Any help would be appreciated.
