There are definitely people out there more in the know than I, but I haven’t seen anything concrete one way or the other. I know there were delays similar to this, albeit not quite as long with their Cleveland class. I spoke with the gentleman who operates Kinetic models about 4 or so years ago at a show and at that time he also was the distributor for Very Fire. He had some interesting points of view about the individual behind VF. His main concern was that the individual was an enthusiast and not a businessman, hence the company came about to produce the Montana class first and foremost. Only after considerable pushback was the Iowa class put in there to help fund their plans. He did elude that the Montana’s were a surprising hit, but still did not generate enough capital to pay for themselves and get moving forward hence the Iowa “guaranteed sales”. He also said that VF founder was a bit prickly and temperamental and threatening to pull his investment several times when things weren’t going his way. Now, how does this all translate to a 1/350 Atlanta several years later and after several more releases including their latest and amazing Taiho? That kit was released in partnership with Beaver Hobby, not sure how they play into it, perhaps the driving force is loosing interest and sold it off to be finished by someone else? Don’t know, they have been extremely quiet since Taiho’s release. I hope that since it was eluded and images of the CAD of the Atlanta were done that it still comes to light. This is one of my favorite classes and would love to replace(ok augment) my BWN build with a much sleeker and better detailed version. But like anything else in the world over the past couple of years, waiting is part of life and until I hear that the files were deleted or molds destroyed I will continue to hold out hope and focus on the several hundred other kits in my stash competing for my attention.

Word on the street says Veryfire may have tabled the 350 Atlanta Class. Personally I have waited 30 years for this and I know a lot of other people were excited by this.
Has anyone else heard anything? If it is tabled why would they do that....?
