Re: State of our Navy
Observing photos and videos shot aboard PLAN units, I noticed substantial differences between their ships and those of the western blocks; in fact, it would seem that the speed with which they are built and put into the sea goes to the detriment of the safety equipment that would keep it afloat in the event of a hit on board. Scarce vertical bulkheads, and more. It would be enough to compare the operational procedures implemented in our Marines with theirs to understand the difference. Then look at the photos taken in the hangar decks of the LHD PLAN, they are poor in equipment, they look like commercial ferries. and I agree that the crews (at the moment) are committed to becoming more familiar with the equipment on board and the management of the ship rather than practicing complex maneuvers. The effective efficiency of the on-board weapons must also be verified. With this I absolutely do not mean that they do not know how to build ships or go to sea they were little more than a coastal marina and now they operate on the high seas and have to build experience.
Speaking of agreements with the Solomon Islands, we must pay attention to these small steps that they take almost in silence, because they are very dangerous. China has occupied, in the indifference of the world, small coral atolls, creating outposts in areas of strategic trade, destroying nature, throwing thousands of tons of concrete, building airports, bases and ports; it is obvious that by declaring those islands Chinese territory, they would expand their territorial waters.
We will have to keep an eye on them
