When Model Master went away, and my desire to spray indoors I went to Vallejo. Model Air is airbrush ready, but I generally go 3:1 or 4:1 paint to flow improver. Model Air has a good selection of air & armor out-of-bottle colors but little dedicated naval colors. Model Color is Vallejo’s brush-optimized paint. Besides hand brushing I will thin it 3:2 or 50/50 with thinner/flow improver. Vallejo also makes metallics, Mecha, and Panzer Aces (their new & weathered rubber are good)
AK/Meng handle similarly to Model Air and have some naval colors
Reaper Miniatures’ MSP Core Colors handle just like Model Color. They have some good color matches to naval colors, just have fantasy names.
Scale Colors are good. Strong selection of USN, RN, IJN, & KM colors. Airbrushable. If anyone hears from Jeff Herne of Scale Colors, remind him to check his mail about my order
