Re: Well, a technique that I found helpful....
Hi Moe, cheers to you for taking the time to help. That's a neat trick getting the finger focussed to improve the perspective so I'll give it a try. Am already onto my next model so I shall employ your tips. Also, nice work on those LCAC's!
was to take my photo at "normal settings" and then blow it up by 'cropping the image' on my computer.
There Could be a setting on your camera that allows for close ups, but you need to be steady while photographing...I just lay my hand on the side of the table, and that works well for me. If your camera is an Android/iPhone...I don't know what to do...still working on that.
As of perspective....I Think you are asking, if you have an long shot of a ship....looking down from stem-to-stern, strangely I have seen my Japanese friends putting their finger in the area (towards the rear of the item to photog) to be shot, the camera focuses on the finger AND the item you want photographed.
So, here is an example of my unpainted LCAC...showing the front part of the LCAC
and the rear end on the same day (but with finger out of the way AFTER, camera focused on finger)
I have the very Basic software on my Dell cmptr and it works well enough for me. BUT, I do wish I still had my Mac with iMovie....THAT software was great in making my movies.
Hey Moe, I need to work on perspective, and close ups. Hope that sounds like it makes some kind of sense. I'll keep practicing. How's your models coming along - what's on the bench?
I mean, I'm not a pro, and I have a VERY old Kodak EasyShare Z740 for my pics and a few of my videos. But as for my more Recent videos, I use my daughter's iPhone ( and yes, I credit her for allowing me to use it ).
Hi, thank you, and Moe, for posting the link.
I really do need help with my model photos!
Moe suggested that I share my model videos with this forum.
If it is okay with everyone, here is my YouTube Channel "cMuss Omaha" where you can find my vidoes.
