Re: JOHN YOUNG looks GREAT!!!!
Hi Moe, thanks, I truly believe that building all 31 is doable. Just require a 5 shelf bookcase as I can squeeze 6-7 per shelf. I've already assembled 6 models in the past. Just a matter of getting bored doing one after the other. These kits are still around and are cheap to buy.
In relation to Tetra, it was stiff enough not to get unwanted bends or twists. It was just a generic set for Modern USN ships, not specifically from Spruance. Nice to work with.
But Really ..... All 350 scale SPRUCANs?? I sure hope you are a 'Young-man'!!!
Just a question is about your Tetra PE..... how is it, is it flimsy / stiff / detailed??
Although I have Already built my 'Ibuki' Japanese modern carrier (fictional), I was using 'Artist Hobby' for that one Hyuga, and Almost JS Kaga, until I saw the Tetra PE for Kaga...????
Hi all. My latest assembled model shown.
DML Modern Seapower Series 350 scale. I also used Tetra PE railing and helo netting set.
A note of thanks to the gentleman on Steelnavy forum who provided plans to enable me to do a better model.
Not a perfect job, but I'm going to continue to build these Spruance kits until I can get them perfectly assembled. This may eventually entail all 31 Spruances being assembled!
Just on these Destroyers and specifically Litton, is there any plans / diagrams on the Launching Platform that they use to launch their ships? It'd be great to mount my model on the platform as a diorama.
