OK, I found the reference. This chart was from a PowerPoint brief on what was being done about the USN paint turning "pink".
A very brief timeline of changes to the Top Coat (camouflage) paint over the years since WWII.
About 1953, plus however long it took to use up existing stocks of paint. Something that has come up, at least in SE Asia (aka Singapore, Japan, etc) ships in port needing to touchup paint, used locals who didn't necessarily use "official spec'd" USN paints.
When was modern haze gray introduced into the fleet after the war?
