Good option, USS Barnes
Transporting Lightnings and Thunderbolts across the Pacific, by the date 1st July 1943, to most likely the Solomon's or New Guinea. https://ww2db.com/images/50f78421ed816.jpg
Skywave's Bogue came with a sprue of army fighters which included P-38's and '47's, and you are able supplement with additional after market.
There are also photos of these transporters with clipped wing P-61's and Mustangs packing the deck outbound, and PBY's, B-24's and '17's damaged to an extent that they are not airworthy, inbound.
Any combination will make a great model.
With all this good news about USS Sangamon in 1 / 700
.. let us remember a nice little kit I have not yet finished . . .
Do our learned brothers and sisters have any comments on this Last-Century jewel ?
How many different war-time ships can we build from it ?
Am I gullible, but do tell me how many faults are there inside the BOGUE box ?
I must find a colour scheme for one of the class which fought with CDR. Walker's Second Support Group, which sank so many u-boats ...
