Thank you very kindly for your reply! I am always glad to hear from people who enjoy seeing my artwork.
With respect to the RNZN Museum at Devonport - I am a New Zealander and my wife and I are based in Auckland now; but would you believe that we have actually never visited the museum. Inexcusable I admit. I have heard a lot about what they are keeping there at any rate. We will need to get there before we move back to the United Kingdom later this year (my wife is a British expat and we were in the middle of making plans to move back when the pandemic hit). Suffice to say there has been a lot more time for painting lately..
To answer your other question about limited edition prints - yes these are also available and were first offered about a month ago now. At the time of writing seven copies have so far gone from the edition of 650.. however I am unsure how best to continue my answer without breaking the rules of posting in this forum. I would also say that 'if it exists - you can find it on the internet' - but would you believe I am also having serious issues with the sales platform I use - which is not allowing me to code meta tagging into listings - thereby making them invisible to search engines.. I guess there are really no further clues necessary as to which site that may be.. lol.
One final point regarding what you have expressed about revisiting the famous (and perhaps lesser famous) Sea Fights, in art - yes this is exactly my plan.. I am really hoping to be able to create many more in this ilk - much in the same way Geoff Hunt RSMA treated Nelson's Navy, and made that his niche, I suppose.. hence the initial comment about returning to the fighting steel genre. I can further say that I have compositions for North Cape, Jutland, Midway and Leyte Gulf all progressing in studies right now - but need to complete two commissions first before these can progress further..
Thank you once more for your interest - and if I can be of further assistance with respect to locating prints - please let me know. Perhaps I can offer a stipend to the upkeep of this site in order to advertise here.. (if you are reading this, forum Mods?)
With best regards,
