I think they will be very helpful for deciding which tone is the Blue for Chicopee.
Rick & James have sent me color versions of the Santee that will be very helpful in assigning colors to the various B&W grey patches.
In your research, did you get a definitive answer as to which Blue to use for MS 17? If I've read your post correctly, then the Blue is 5-N. Is this correct?
I've read from a lot of other sources about the Navy's problems with the 5-N rapidly fading & chalking.
So I could see the light blue in that one color pic of a weathered Santee as being a very faded 5-N.
Also it's good to have your confirmation that MS 17 was an attempt at a Western Approaches equivalent scheme. I was beginning to wonder if I was having a Senior Moment in my recollection of that.
