Re: No parts for square bridge
Thank you .
Kit for CL 55 contains some parts for an alternative round-bridge face as on USS Denver after her repairs at Mare Island but no distinctive parts for a square bridge ship.
Even for Denver the CL 55 kit does not support that ship’s placement of her 40mm gun quad mounts, nor her full set of Mk 51 directors.
Model Monkey offers some replacement parts for this kit, including the main battery turrets.
Well the 1/350 Baltimore and Pittsburg kits have been in the Trumpeter catalogues for a couple years now and haven't appeared but they do offer these ships in 1/700 .As to the Very Fire Cleveland class ships. So far 2 have been offered. The Cleveland CL-55 and the Birmingham
CL-62. A youtube kit review states that the Cleveland comes with square bridge parts.Does any one reading this have this kit and can you look at the instructions and see if they describe how to make a square bridge version?I dont have the kit.
Any one have any info Trumpeters 1/350 Baltimore and/or Pittsburgh ? Same question about Varyfires square bridge Cleveland class CLs like the Mami or Houston? My dad was on the Houston off Formosa in WWII.
