the color of the 'water' looked really good after applying a few ( literally three ) coats of Vallejo 'Still Water'... and this being my First Ever diorama... It look Dang Good!! And the use of toilet paper to make the crashing waves on either side of the ship made it look ever So Good!!!
As for the 'Flag Ship', GALVESTON had two (2) other sub-sisters and They were the 'Flag Ships' CLG-4, CLG-5.....with the other 'sub-sister'-class of the PROVIDENCE-class, three (3) ships like GALVESTON, but their radar masts and missile launchers were carrying the Terrier missile.
What's on your slip-way!!!
Looks like she's cruising the Med, realistic & authentic rendition of the real thing.
I checked my 1973/74 Janes Fighting Ships and there is a photo of this ship at anchor, probably when she was Flag Ship.
