AFO 2861 1941 says Rowan & Boden have notified the Admiralty that their latex deck composition known as Aranbee is now called Paratex. The grade of Aranbee used for fairing on plate edges on under water portions of the hull will now be called Paratex fairing.
This is the only time I have seen the name.
I found one single reference to the use of that product in Ship Construction, Seventh Edition , by George J Bruce and David J Eyres (c. 2012). Unfortunately, I found no corresponding description of the product or its properties, other uses, etc.

The official plans indicate that the corners were filled using a sealing compound called Aranbee.
