see how the hull flares out to meet the deck edge compared to the box art that shows the forward deck extending past the hull sides?
Thanks for the the 'alarm' about the apparent inaccuracy of the forward hull/deck but I'm afraid that this is not clear to me as I don't understand: "...that deck is not cantilevered over the hull but the hull flares out to meet the deck." Sorry (?)
The box art of the ship looks accurate and the test shots and views of the instructions don't give anything away to me, the things that you see.
If Ostrich Hobby have got it wrong to the level you point out how could it pass quality control for an accurate kit, at that price?
I will wait for better shots of the parts and instructions - an in-box review - before I decide if it's worth US$200 (inc shipping). Also did not see Ostrich's attempt at creating the flight deck palisades, but they still may be included in the photo-etch (unseen).
the forward deck & hull as that deck is not cantilevered over the hull but the hull flares out to meet the deck. I have the 1925 body plans that shows that flare of the hull.
Thanks, looks OK. Would like to see a lay-out of the complete kit or in box review.
On eBay. $162 with shipping so far.
