That's just a typical Trumpeter mistake, although it's a mistake they copied and pasted over from the Profile Morskie drawings they nicked.
Profile Morskie appears to have been confused by sun awnings erected in some photographs.
I suggest reviewing the HMS Exeter page on modelwarships.com where I and some others have detailed a number of screwups Trumpeter built I to this kit along with how to fix them.
Needless to say, the best thing you can do with the paint guide is file it in the bin as it's useless. They even got the basic 507C wrong and recommended a modern American style neutral grey.
Hi guys! The colorsheet created by TRUMPETER for the brit. cruiser HMS EXETER shows a color for the superstructure deck in a strange color. It is described as " SAIL COLOR" and looks very light (yellow?). The main deck is covered with wood and another part of the deck semms to be dark seagrey.
I do not know any example of a so colored deck from other models. Is it right or an error?
Thanks to the folks, who wwill be so niche to help me. Enjoy your day and your life too!
Greetings from B.Enders
