I use putty and....
push the barrel in while 'wet', then remove the barrel...this makes a nice indentation while it dries overnite.
Next day or two....SupGlue the barrel onto the putty indentation.
Hope this helps....what are you working on???
I was thinking about purchasing brass barrels for some of the models in my collection. I examined many of the turrets and the plastic barrels are inserted through the turret face hole from within the turret. Even if I wanted to use a brass barrel it would not fill the hole in the turret face for plastic barrels are usually over scale
I was thinking of using putty from within the turret and push it through the turret face hole and set the brass barrel in the putty. Could also create a blast bag if need be.
Anybody have a good technique?
