Re: 1/700 HMS Icarus D03 Minelayer 1940
According to the caption of one of these photos (IWM H1664) in John de S Winser B.E.F. Ships
(Gravesend: World Ship Society, 1999), it shows Icarus.
There are two photos of an 'I' Class destroyer at Dover after returning from Dunkirk, one of them a detailed close-up of the bridge modifications, between pages 86-87 of Smith's Into the Minefields: British Destroyer Minelaying 1916-1960.
I have a 1966 edition of the March book and I would say the large fold out plans by themselves make it a worthy addition to your library.
I was going to mention that photo as well but I figured someone else had better; page 122 of English's Amazon to Ivanhoe . I haven't perused March as yet. It wouldn't surprise me if Haarr has something in one of his tomes.
