Re: Moving & Shipping completed kits question
Not sure about shipping, that's a whole other ballgame, but in my interstate move I glued the base to the bottom of a cardboard box and put pillow stuffing found in Hobby Lobby around the hull.It worked,no damage.Moving were friend, but crew was professional
I moved from Canada to the US a few years back and brought some of my completed kits with me. They didn't do well in the move.
Since then I have replaced a few and added to the collection. Now there is a possibility that I may be moving a few states over.
I have a couple of 1/200 scale ships, half a dozen 1/350 scale and a couple of planes in 1/32 scale.
Any suggestions how I can move/ship them with minimal damage?
I am not too keen on leaving them behind and starting again, but if there aren't going to survive the move I may have to do that.
Any suggestions on how to pack, ship etc would be appreciated. I really don't want to hold any of them on my lap for the 8 hours drive
