I can assure you that this was purely happenstance and not by design. I can't remember when I have seen two builds of the same model come out on the same day on two different sites.
My posting for the other site has been in their queue now for at least three weeks, so I estimate it will be another week or so before it comes out. I followed their format, and as such, the article is longer and there will be a few more photos.
I did consider that same aftermarket set but opted to make everything out of my own inventory, including the railings. The posting mentions the 372 pieces I added that were not in the kit.
I did post a favorable comment on your Zara "over there" by the way, and I assume you have seen it. Your photos clearly show all the metal you applied. It's an excellent presentation, a fine model.

You scooped me, Chuck! I built my Zara (currently visible on modelwarships.com) and submitted my photos over two months ago, but it seems as though with so many modelers having so much pandemic down-time that delays in posting by this site are unavoidable. Anyway, the Zara kit and its detail set make for a superb build. Even without the detail set, as is apparently the case with your build, the model looks great. Previous Message
Hi Chuck,
Really nice job on the Zara. I'm inspired to break mine out but I got too many projects on the workbench so there's no room. Also thank for the excellent article in FineScale Modeler magazine, I learned a few things.
