Thanks to this build and pictures this allowed to better understand the intricate arrangement of the fore tower with its four legged structure supporting the top director and as well closely embracing a pile of rooms inside.
I got puzzled, however by this 1941 fit concerning three fire directors: the main one just aft of turret #2 and the two secondary located on each side near the top of the fore structure. Maybe this is due to image parallax but it seems they can't be rotated at last to point 90° from the ship axis because of interference with the structure behind. Is that just an optical effect or was this real on the real ship? Just wondering.
Mmmm, this build will convince me (at last) to assemble Italian ships. Thanks, Chuck!
