White glue is fine and in many cases ideal for tacking parts. However, you should make a permanent bond using CA afterward. White glue is water based and as such it is very sensitive to moisture. Even a very humid day can be enough to allow the glue to absorb moisture and lose it's grip.

I use white glue for tacking photo-etch to resin or mold injected. I use white glue when gluing resin to mold injected so why not white glue when building resin models? Why CAs?
