Here is the scene:
He seems to have screwed up the names of the first couple of carriers. Otherwise, it seems to "be in order." I can not speak for the Japanese translations, but assume they are correct (as in--what is being spoken in English is being correctly translated. Most of that is about the pilot wanting a radio, etc. and not having to do with the details of the attack.) Previous Message
I just saw the movie "The Final countdown" and was wondering when in the scene were the commander who is a historian, confronts the Japanese pilot who has the woman as hostage mentions the Japanese secrets about the attack on pearl harbor.
My question to all of you is this, what the commander was telling the pilot, was it accurate when he was speaking Japanese and or telling the pilot everything that was going to happen in English correct? Meaning the names of all the IJN carriers and the codes?
