I have done exactly that procedure as well. I recently built a Russian Golf II submarine, which has a centerline propeller which sits between the hull and the rudder. Very little clearance, maybe a millimeter. Very tight quarters. So I tacked it with white glue, allowing me to position it straight, and came back with a thin wire dipped in CA. I ran that around the perimeter.

Yes, I am a fan of white glue. Many times I will use it to tack a part in place. It allows adjustments to properly position a part. Once the part is in place and the white glue dry, I will come back with CA to reinforce the bond. Previous Message
I use white glue for tacking photo-etch to resin or mold injected. I use white glue when gluing resin to mold injected so why not white glue when building resin models? Why CAs?
