Re: New Orleans conversion from San Francisco
Structurally, the Astoria, Minneapolis, and San Francisco were very similar. San Francisco had the flat-faced turrets while the other two had the curved faced ones. The other differences were in the small details. New Orleans never had the communications level glassed in, and so her wartime upgrades differed from the others. Astoria, Minneapolis, and San Fran had 4 20MM forward, 4 on the hangar roof, and 4 on the after control structure. New Orleans had 6 forward (2 on the open communications level), 4 on the hangar roof and only 2 on the after control structure. New Orleans also had the curved-faced turrets.
Does the Kraken conversion on ASTORIA match up with New Orleans conversion from San Francisco?
