Re: So being a snowflake isn't so easy... Yeah but you have the best freshwater lakes for fishing
Love NH and the freshwater fishing. Spent one evening in a tent during a mountain thunderstorm. Thought I would see God that night. Got up the next morning went fishing only to come back and witness a frightened moose trample my camp site and carry my tent into the lake on his way to take a cooling dip. Ate Capt N Crunch and fish for the next two days but loved it. Certainly no time or place for snowflakes.
Sorry, I just could not resist. Here in New Hampshire, bitter cold is a way of life. We too are just a power outage away from misery, but we are also accustomed to enduring such things. Good luck...
We are freezing down here - our homes are not made for a 100-year winter storm. No one here has snowtires or knows how to drive in it. Power and water intermittently on and off. I am luckier than most - I have a gas stove and fireplace, so I can keep a little warmth going. My model bench sits beside a large window, so I can paint a little during the day. Lot of hours to wait until it thaws.....
