Here in Florida it's 71 degrees and raining. I moved here 35 years ago and haven't missed living up north one minute. We have our own weather problems but at least freezing to death isn't one of them .

We are freezing down here - our homes are not made for a 100-year winter storm. No one here has snowtires or knows how to drive in it. Power and water intermittently on and off. I am luckier than most - I have a gas stove and fireplace, so I can keep a little warmth going. My model bench sits beside a large window, so I can paint a little during the day. Lot of hours to wait until it thaws.....
